the Chancellor's Court on Friday, May, 27, 2016. The event was organised by Estates Department Environmental Champions, Ms Anne Mulee, Dephinah Sirako and Violet Misiko. Ther Estates Department are charged with the responsibility of ensuring clean environment within the University.
Speaking during the exercise, the Registrar Administration urged the staff members to work with passion, professionalism and embrace teamwork as they to help the University achieve its vision of being a centre of scholarly excellence as it strives towards being a world class university.
As part of the capacity building, the staff from the Central Units led by their Environmental Champions planted 180 trees at the University Fields. There was a come together luncheon at Arziki restaurant, Gandhi wing.
The tree planting exercise is part of the University mandate of being an environmental champion.
