The Directorate has had a number of Directors. To mention briefly, Mr. Grimes was the first to head the Directorate followed by Mr. Gitonga Mwaniki, Mr. Daniel Oriko, Prof. P. M. Syagga (acting), Mr. Riungu, Mrs Sarah Ngugi, Mr T. M. Thuita ,Qs. Andrew K. Mbuku then VLR. Maiko Ogutu who is the current Director.
