UoN Alumni Association Scholarship - call for applications

The University of Nairobi Alumni Association (UONAA) invites applications for scholarships for the Academic Year 2021/2022 that started in September 2021. The UONAA Scholarship Fund is a program that provides university scholarships and mentorship to academically gifted and talented students but from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. The students must be pursuing their studies at the University of Nairobi. The UONAA Scholarship Fund targets to financially support 1000 needy and deserving students over the next 5 years giving up to Ksh. 40,000.00 per academic year. Call for Applications: Africa Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Operations for Resource Management & Food Supply

The University of Nairobi in collaboration with University of Dar El Salaam (UDSM), Kuehne Logistics University (KLU) and Kuehne Foundation (KF) are organizing a seven day academic exchange to Ghana in October, 2021. The purpose of the academic exchange is to enhance learning and knowledge sharing in sustainable management and operations. Participants will engage in intellectually motivating discussions and learn from professors and experts on academic process, research needs and work-life in sustainable management and operations careers.

Covid-19 Vaccination Exercise - Moderna Vaccine

The Director, University Health Services Dr. Lucy Muhia has announced that the University Vaccine Centre will be rolling out the 1st dose of the modern vaccine (mRNA) starting Monday 06-Sept-2021. In her memo to all staff, she said the moderna vaccine will only be administered to eligible persons who had not received any other type of COVID-19 vaccination. The second dose of the moderna vaccine will be administered 28 days apart. The director encouraged all staff who had not been vaccinated to avail themselves of this opportunity by reserving a slot via Vaccination Portal: vaccination.uonbi.ac.ke. The prior booking will enable the UHS plan in advance for ease of queue management.

Impact of post COVID-19 pandemic on the aviation sub-sector in Kenya: call for consultancy services

The STDF aims at giving financial support to members of staff pursuing various academic programmes under Module II Degree Programmes within the University of Nairobi. The courses to be pursued should be relevant to their duties and add value to their performance. University of Nairobi admission & orientation of First Years - 2021

The University Senate meeting on Wednesday 4th August 2021 considered and approved the Revised Semester Schedules for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. Please note the following important dates and activities:   Monday 13th September 2021 Early Online registration of First Years begins. Monday 20th September 2021 Physical reporting to the University for all Module I First Years SWA to organize for the accommodation of the students. Monday 20th to Sunday 26th September 2021 Registration and Orientation Week. Tuesday 21st September 2021 Students commence Course Registration for two weeks 2 of 2. Wednesday 22nd September 2021 Executive Deans and other University Officials address the student's Vice Chancellor’s Address at 2.30 p.m (Virtual). Sunday 26th September 2021 Inter-Faculty Portal opens for one week for students to apply. Monday 27th September to Friday 1st October 2021 Training on Online Learning and continued Reporting and Registration of First Years. Monday 4th October 2021 Lectures begin in all the 11 Faculties.

Covid-19 Vaccination Exercise at the University Health Services

The University of Nairobi Director of Corporate Affairs Mr. John Orindi has advised that those among the University Community (Students, Staff/Dependents above 18 years) and who have not been vaccinated, should at the earliest voluntarily avail themselves for the vaccination programme that has been running in the University Health Services. This will curb the spread of COVID-19, especially the Delta variant that is spreading at a very fast rate.
